The beach of Kalafatis is 2 km long and it is one of the biggest beaches in Mykonos island. It is located at the north eastern side of the island, 11 km away from the town, after the picturesque village of Ano Mera.

The gold sand, the transparent waters and the plants (armirikia) across the beach create a tropical landscape that offers relaxation times to all its visitors.

It is an organised beach, particularly popular to families and funs of water sports such as jet skiing, banana, extreme tubes and water skiing.

The schools of windsurfing and scuba diving available at the beach provide safe training to those who wish to try for the first time or enhance their skills whereas appropriate equipment is also available to the experienced practicioners.

There are many restaurants, taverns and hotels by the beach which is easily accessible as there is a daily bus service.
